What is Innovate about?
As an event Innovate is all about sharing information and inspiration about technology-enabled innovation, looking at future markets in a 3-30 year time frame and new innovation opportunities for business - helping to generate a climate of innovation in the UK where great ideas can become commercial reality.
An important part of the Technology Strategy Board’s strategic plan is to create a fertile climate for innovation, and the resulting economic growth, in the UK. The annual Innovate event, organised and hosted by the Technology Strategy Board, is an essential element of that work.
Who attends?
Innovate is attended by 2,000 representatives from the UK’s most innovative high growth businesses and leading research organisations. At Innovate 70% of the attendees represented a vast range of business sectors with 30% representing academia, research organisations, and government.
In our recent follow up survey to Innovate 2010 attendees 75% said they were likely to or highly likely to recommend attending Innovate to colleagues and peers.
What’s new for Innovate 11?
Each year there is a new range of themes, seminars, exhibits, and speakers at the event. We’re going to be including our Collaboration Nation event format into Innovate 11 along with the KTP awards and many new features. All of which contribute to meet the needs of businesses who want to innovate now for future business growth.
