Appendix 3 – Alignment with other strategies
The Creative Industries applications area has several points of contact and shared interest with other Key Technology and Application areas with the Technology Strategy Board. As we focus on the next generation of content-aware networks, the Technology Strategy Board can effectively facilitate the linkage between content owners and network operators (wholesalers and retailers). Similarly, as we pursue the potential in the development and exploitation of meta-data thrown up by the use of content over networks, the work done in the Privacy and Security team will be of great benefit to building a common understanding of what is technically possible, what is commercially valuable and what is permissible from a privacy perspective. Conversely, the bringing of content into network trials represents an opportunity to light up the network more meaningfully than with mere dummy data.

Working with these partners from within Technology Strategy Board, the implementation of this strategy will also represent a key contribution to the Digital Britain agenda and work programme going forward. It is our intention that our activities going forward will be aligned with and in support of Digital Britain.
