CEO to join Engineering and Technology Board

Iain Gray, Chief Executive of the Technology Strategy Board, has been appointed as a non-executive board member of the Engineering and Technology Board.

The Engineering Technology Board (ETB) is an independent organisation that promotes the vital role of engineers, engineering and technology in our society.  The ETB partners business and industry, government and the wider Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) community: producing evidence on the state of engineering, and inspiring young people to choose a career in engineering, matching employers' demand for skills.

Commenting on his appointment, Iain Gray said: "I am very much looking forward to joining the Engineering and Technology Board in its quest to improve the standing and perception of engineers, engineering and technology in the UK.   We will work alongside the wider engineering community to help improve the profile and perceptions of engineering, as well as getting to grips with the immense challenges and opportunities which face UK engineering today."
