Influence through Cyberspace
The MOD through the Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) is seeking research applications that explore human and social behaviour in the virtual worlds of cyberspace.
There has been little research investigating how behaviour and attitudes are revealed and can be shaped by online activity within cyberspace. Being able to affect human and social behaviour demands an understanding of how this behaviour is shaped by multiple factors: personality, motivation, attitudes, social identity, group, organisational and social norms and cultural practices as well as the context within which the behaviour occurs.
Analysis of these factors potentially allows the forecasting of human and social behaviour in response to interventions of all types. The competition is focussed on current cyberspace tools.
