The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) and the MOD Counter-Terrorism Science & Technology Centre will host a seminar on Less Than Lethal Escalation of Force. The seminar will launch a call for novel research proposals that can assist the Armed Forces to deliver less than lethal effects in current operations.
Innovative solutions are required which offer an enhanced ability to deliver visual and auditory warnings, deter people from approaching when instructed not to, disrupt the enemy's ability to monitor friendly force activity and to stop or physically detain people or vehicles if needed. Technologies which can be used by personnel on foot, in vehicles and at fixed military installations are required.
A seminar will be held on Tuesday 12th October to provide further information on this competition.
